St. Vincent Grand Rapids Concert reviews
GOOS DELIVER ROCKING SHOW!
"AMAZING!!!!!! I've been to 7 St. Vincent shows in the last 4 months. Got pics and autographs, ran into John coming off the tour bus at the restaurant adjacent to the venue, where we stopped to eat. This particular event was GA, so we arrived early to try to get close to the front. Everyone's on their feet the whole time, there were no seats on the main floor (I didn't go upstairs.) We were allowed in early to the show and stood first row. The guys put on a great show, the crowd was alive and rocking. John threw a bunch of stuff from his wardrobe into the crowd! The band was completely out there and on fire, they did a great job. It was wonderful to hear Become live, it's one of my favorite songs and I've never heard it before. TO DIE FOR was Sympathy! If you missed this concert, then you missed out on the best. John did Sympathy solo acoustic, talked a bit about it first and just poured everything into that song, it was the most beautiful thing (and he didn't mess it up! lol I know he's got a kinda joke/record about always messing up Sympathy - he didn't!) Venue was great, sound is great, security was great (not uppity but not pushovers) - I was with my 10y/o son who had a blast; we felt very safe and he had a great time."
